Sweet Chilli Chicken Legs
Succulent chicken legs, cooked in a sweet chilli sauce. This super easy recipe is ideal when you’ve got limited energy but still want something warming and a bit spicy. This is great served hot with a jacket potato or cold in a salad. They’re also nice to just pick at straight from the fridge, so always cook more than you need for that particular meal
- A pack of chicken legs.
- Sweet Chilli Sauce
- Chilli Flakes (optional)
Pre-heat the oven to gas mark 7 or 200oC
In a baking tin place all the chicken legs, skin side upwards
Drizzle over the sweet chilli sauce and a few chilli flakes if using
Roast in oven for about 40-60 mins until the skin is crispy and the meat juices run clear. Always ensure it’s piping hot throughout before serving. Your oven may take longer or shorter to cook the chicken through so always keep an eye on it and adjust the cooking time to suit your own oven.
Once the meat is ready it normally falls fairly easily off the bone when prodded.
Serve with a diced avocado and salad and a jacket potato
